Animals have been an inspiration for artists throughout history. This workshop will concentrate on how to bring animals to life with a limited palette of oil paints using color, light, and composition. We will be working with photographs. During this intensive course, students will receive one-on-one instruction and insight into the techniques needed to master the art of the animal. Day one will concentrate on drawing techniques, value, and creating an underpainting. Day two will focus on building up layers in paint and techniques to finish a painting. Students will complete one painting of their animal of choice.
