Emerson was born in upstate New York and raised in western Pennsylvania. He was educated in Sewickley, Pa., Andover, Mass, New Orleans, La., Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. His college degrees are in Economics and Finance.
His business career included public finance, corporate finance, investment banking, commercial banking and financial management consulting to not-for-profit organizations.
He has had a lifelong interest in the arts. Spending extensive time in Florence, Italy, his artwork focused on that city’s Renaissance forms. Beginning with designs of “Cofanetti” (Italian safe-keeping boxes) his work has evolved to include mirrors and miniature tables.
A 20- year resident of Boca Grande, the Wickwires divide their time among Boca Grande, Southport, Maine, and Florence.
