Diane’s large oils & acrylics begin in sketchbooks or as small studies on paper. Watercolor, gouache, and acrylics are perfect for experiments, thumbnail sketches and visualizing composition and values (darks and lights). Sketchbooks are ideal for light weight travel and painting outside.

Master the skills needed to use the materials takes practice, patience, and persistence. This can happen faster when working on many small studies rather than one large scary piece.

This class will help artists be more fearless, intuitive, and playful when approaching their work.
