Launched in 2006, Art on Banyan became the first independent exhibition hosted by the Boca Grande Art Center—and has since evolved into one of its cornerstone events. What began as a collaboration between two BGAC members, watercolorist Cecilia Jonsson-Bisset and glass artist Esther Jensen, has flourished into a celebrated annual showcase of women’s creativity and innovation.
This February, Art on Banyan once again spotlights a distinguished group of women artists whose works reflect both artistic excellence and enduring dedication to creative expression. Returning this year are Esther Jensen (glass), Diana Runyon (mixed media), Dianna Shandorf (pastel), and Susan Shaffer (encaustic monotypes and mixed media).
