If an artist begins with A SUBJECT FROM REALITY, the artwork is considered to be ABSTRACT. If the artist begins with NO REFERENCE then the work is considered to be NON OBJECTIVE. The class will focus on ONE OF MANY POSSIBILITIES of creating an ABSTRACT PAINTING. Students should bring their own paint, brushes and a previously used canvas to paint over.
