Melissa’s art studies and influences have included Parsons School of Design in NYC and the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she was a volunteer docent while completing their programs and training. Melissa also pursued an apprenticeship with CBS’s Lou Dorfsman who was responsible for creating the famous eye logo for the network. Melissa has exhibite and sold her work at the the Kirby Gallery in Barbados. She had her debut solo show at the Southern Vermont Art Center where she taught as well for their young children’s’ program. Her work has also been shown at Fort Ticonderoga Museum where her interpretation of “Kings’ Garden” was duplicated into home décor such as stationery and place settings.
