Rae Medgyesy is captivated by the beauty and old Florida charm of Boca Grande. She tries to find a fresh perspective to everyday moments. Painting the ordinary in an expressive representational technique is her focus. Monumental still life paintings play a large role in her work. She’d just as soon paint a box of ordinary sugar or a carton of eggs. Never shying away from bold colors, her work is bold and expressive. A late bloomer to the art world, Rae quickly became an exhibiting member of The Providence Art Club. She shows regularly at the Boca Grande Art Center shows and welcomes all up to her Boca Grande Studio in the old Train Depot.
