Joyce is a Florida resident and spends time in Cincinnati, OH and in Michigan. Other residences have been Pittsburgh, PA, Columbia SC, Portland, ME. Joyce has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Miami University, Oxford, OH 1957: Graphic Arts major—instruction in drawing, painting, layout design and typography, lithography and etching, silkscreen, and woodblock. Post graduate work at Art Academy of Cincinnati and University of Cincinnati.
Joyce has commercial experience at several commercial art studios: Volunteer Guide at Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati; and volunteer Docent at the Cincinnati Art Museum.
“Subjects of my oil and watercolor paintings are landscapes and still life. Several art galleries have handled my work in the past, and my work is in corporate and private collections.
Often I choose to donate a percent of proceeds to the Boca Grande Art Center, and in the past donated a percent or total of my salary as an instructor for beginning watercolor at BGAC.”
