I am a relative newcomer to pastel painting. The 1st pastel I had framed was in 2008. I have no background in art. I went to DePauw University, a four-year liberal art university. I graduated with a dual major, Art History and Psychology. I have always loved art and have gone into every museum where possible. I never thought I could draw or paint until I took a class from Cecilia Bisset at the Art Center. I have taken classes in oil, watercolor and pastel. Pastel turned into my favorite medium.
